Sound good so far? Well... We've only begun to scratch the surface! The tournament itself will be hosted by none-other then Titus Flavius Caesar Vespasianus Augustus, 10th Emperor of Rome! To celebrate the completion of the Colosseum in 80 AD, he's courtly invited the great empires and nations of the world to compete in a battle for the ages! With that said, only warrior-cultures from pre-80 AD (with exceptions for certain, more 'primitive' cultures that cam much, much later) will be included in the matches and story-arch.
Furthermore, there's only one more announcement to make; the match-ups! Because I know everyone will be deathly curious as to WHO exactly will be competing, I've decided to leak the matches (in no particular order!)
Sparta vs. Hawaii
Germania vs. Persia
Israel vs. Inca
Zulu vs. Gaul
Gladiators vs. Han Dynasty
New-Kingdom Egypt vs. Mauryan Dynasty
Aztec Empire vs. Carthage
Rome vs. Macedonia
That about wraps it up for now! The first round and more details will be posted within the week!
Heey,
ReplyDeletelooking good. Cant wait.
With a quick scan of the warrior cultures, here is my first guess on who will win.
Sparta.
They are more effective teamplayers and have more armour.
Persia
They just have the better army in general and especially elite troops.
Inca
In a close match due to the armour and the fact that these guys got brainwashed to win.
Gaul
they had such great warriors that the roman emperors wanted them as bodyguards
Han dynasty.
I dont think gladiators will work together that well and have really an arsenal to fight a real army.
New Kingdom Egypt.
Im a big fan of the egyptian warriors, they were strong and quick. Especially if Ramsesses II is in the lead.
Carthago.
The aztecs will not survive the use of all different cultures and styles in one army.
Rome
The romans are an improvement on the macedonians and have better weapons, better armour and better tactics.
Hey man :D Fabulous tournament ahead of us, the Roman Emperor as the host really makes things more interesting :D Reminds me of Mortal Kombat, but mostly hitorically accurate.
ReplyDeleteHere are my predictions,
For the first one I put my money on the spartan, as his metal weapons will make a difference. THough for brute strengh the HAwaiian will probably crush the spartan in unarmed combat.
I'll take the persian over the German because I think his training is more standardized and effecient.
Israeli vs Inca, I'll get back to you
Zulu beats GAul, Gaul is tough but Zulu is beastly.
I saw Han warrior beats Gladiator, the gladiator is tough but the Han is a warrior, while the Gladiator is meant to entertain the crowd. I could be wrong though.
I'll get back on Egyptian vs MAsuryan.
I give a win to CArthage, just because HAnnibal was badass.
And MAcedonia beats Rome, they produced Alexander the Great :)
THat's all for now, see ya man.

Hi, I'm Roker, and this looks awesome. Let's see here...
ReplyDeleteSparta vs Hawaii: Spartans win by a huge margin, no question.
Germania vs Persia: Much closer, but I'd give Persia a slight edge for having a more structured military.
Israel vs Inca: Incas for their ferocity in battle, and the fact that I have no knowledge of an Israeli warrior culture before 80 AD.
Zulu vs Gaul: Gaul all the way, unless you give the Zulus guns, and it doesnt sound like you will.
Gladiators vs Han Dynasty: Gladiators for sure, not only will they be at home in the colessium, but they are alot tougher than what was portrayed in the show.
Egypt vs Mauryan: Too close to call, very good match.
Aztecs vs Chartage: Carthage gave Rome a run for their money, so they definitely win.
Rome vs Macedonia: Rome wins, they were at the height of their power at that point, and Macedon is a bit overrated because of Alexander the Great.
Can't wait for you to start this thing.
you really need some experienced and perfect developers
